We would like our volunteers to be available for the entire duration of the event (12pm to 4pm). However we fully understand the realities of life, if you're unable to be available for the entire event there is a field on the sign up form where you can indicate the timeframe you're available for.
*For the event Set-up Team, we would like for you to arrive at 9am.*
For the event Set-up Team, we would like for you to arrive at 9am. The Breakdown Team can arrive by 4pm. All other volunteers should arrive by 11am to get more familiar with your duties for the day and to meet the rest of your team!
We will have designated parking for the event, check back here for updates as the date nears. We are anticipating a great turnout for the event so if you're able to save on parking for attendees by car pooling, bicycling, using ride share, or taking Bus 18 we would appreciate that.
As the event nears, all volunteers will receive an email with day of information. This will include tasks, general information, and the contact information of your team lead that you'll be connecting with when you arrive.
YES! We want our volunteers to have just as good of a time as attendees. If you're not enjoying your role as you thought you would then please let your team lead know. At that point tell them if you'd like to be put on a different team, which they will help coordinate, or to indicate that you're no longer able to volunteer for the remainder of the event.
We will never turn away someone that is eager and willing to support our event - we accept all volunteers!
There is a field on the sign up form where you can indicate If you have any limitations and/or require any accommodations. Feel free to enter that information there if applicable.
Yup! Each team will have a team lead that will provide support as needed.
There will be plenty of places where you can leave your bike, and we welcome that form of commuting!
Yes!! That's what we hope for! The sign up form has multiple volunteer teams, pick the ones that speak to you most! Feel free to select one team or multiple teams that you would be interested in being a part of. *If you do select multiple teams we will be placing you on the team with the most need when we start building them.* There's also a field on the form where you can indicate if you have experience with a certain team, we would love to know if that applies to you!
Comfortable shoes, sunblock, and bug spray are highly encouraged. This is a rain or shine event, be mindful of the forecast and plan accordingly.
We are anticipating a lot of great food trucks and vendors so bring your wallet to indulge in and support locally made goodies!!
Absolutely! If this is the case then please be sure that your group only selects ONE team to be on from the selection list. This way you'll be placed together!
